To facilitate the implementation of Monetary measures issued by RMA, the RMA with the approval of the board has decided to further reduce the Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR) by 200 basis point thereby releasing Nu. 2.8 billion liquidity in the Banking sector. Therefore, with effect from 27th April, 2020, the Banks shall maintain CRR of only 7%. Except for the above mentioned revision, all other terms and conditions of earlier notifications on CRR shall continue to remain in force. The RMA may time to time exercise the CRR depending on changing liquidity situation.
