This is for the general information that the commercial banks are now authorized to import and sell Bullions (Gold & Silver) within Bhutan with effect from 01 May 2010.  The Bullions so made available by the commercial banks shall conform to the highest standard of purity i.e. 999.999 or 99.99%. Any Government/private Agencies or individual Bhutanese citizens desiring to purchase Gold/Silver for domestic use should henceforth approach the commercial banks.
