Through the implementation of the financial literacy program, RMA intends to expose all the relevant stake holders in the opportunity to collaborate with RMA to educate the nation on financial literacy.
Amongst the several activities listed out in 2016, to commence the implementation of the financial literacy program, RMA & ADB released various outreach materials to mark the global money week and it was distributed amongst various stake holders.
The materials designed by the financial literacy team of RMA and ADB were developed keeping in view the awareness need of the different segments of the society carrying diverse messages of gender balance, savings need, insurance, budgeting, economy, banking, entrepreneurship and financial decisions.
Along with the release of the outreach awareness materials on 15th March by the Honorable Governor, the Global money week (14-20th March) was also celebrated in the following schools in collaboration with FIs & NBFIs.
1. East: Mongar Higher Secondary School, S/Jongkhar Middle Secondary School
2. West: Rinchen Higher Secondary School, Motithang Higher Secondary School
3. Central: Mendralgang Higher Secondary School (Tsirang), Gelephu Higher Secondary School
