The Royal Monetary Authority of Bhutan launched the Priority Sector Lending (PSL) Guidelines today at the Simtokha Dzong with a day long prayer ceremony led by the Venerable Tshugla Lopen. The Guidelines is the result of a year’s worth of collaboration & partnership with our financial sector and the Government, immediately following His Majesty’s National Day Address in Trongsa last year. His Majesty reminded the financial sector of the opportunities for entrepreneurship and commercial farming that we can create for our farmers and youth through improved access to finance.
The RMA would like to thank our partners - the financial institutions and the Government agencies (MOAF, DCSI-MOEA, NLC, NEC, BAFRA, MOF, MOLHR) for your support and commitment in the PSL initiative. We are grateful to our Hon’ble Lyonchhen and the Cabinet ministers as well as the Hon’ble members of the National Council for the overwhelming support in this national initiative. We pray that the merits of the collective good intentions and spirit of all our partners in this endeavor bears fruit in positively impacting the lives of our farmers and youth and in fulfilling the aspirations of His Majesty.
