The Financial Intelligence Department (FID), Royal Monetary Authority of Bhutan has developed the Guideline on Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) 2019 to be implemented by the reporting entities with effect from 30 January 2020. The Guideline shall provide guidance to the reporting entities on application and implementation of AML and CFT requirements associated with PEPs.
The FID-RMA, in consultation with the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and the Department of Law and Order of Ministry of Home and Cultural Affairs, has drawn up the list of PEPs based on the Schedule Public Servants of Anti-Corruption Act of Bhutan 2011
