Persuant to notification issued by Reserve Bank of India (RBI) dated 26th February 2019, the Royal Monetary Authority of Bhutan would like to inform the general public of Bhutan that with effect from March 8, 2019, individual concern may bring in or take out of Bhutan, Reserve Bank of India notes of Mahatma Gandhi (new) Series of denomination Rs.200/- and/or Rs.500/- up to a total limit of Rs.25,000/- per person until further notice. However, for the denomination up to Rs.100/-, the prescribe limit in and out shall be as per the Foreign Excahnge Rules and Regulations 2018.
